Blogger 411

Becky has a Blogger 411 hop up on her blog right now, where she wants to know all about other bloggers. I’ve decided to join in on the fun, because I know Becky’s dying to know my answers {haha, jokes ;P I’m not THAT interesting}. Plus, other than Instagram photos I don’t really have anything else to blog about today HAHA!

1. How long have you been blogging? And what got you started on blogging? Has your blog changed?
I’ve been blogging since December 2005, basically consistently. Over the past 7 years my blog, and I, have changed a lot. I went from being a “Teen Blogger” to a “Mommy Blogger” {more or less}. Basically though, I’ve always stuck to the same material: I blog about my life and the things that happen to me, my feelings or thoughts on experiences, and adventures.

2. Did you go to college? If so where, and what did you study?
I went to Fleming College in Peterborough in 2007, and I studied Social Work for a couple months before dropping out. I wasn’t ready for college, or to be away from home or handle all of the changes that seemed to happen over night. It was a decision I regret. I attempted college again in the fall of 2008, I went to Durham College for Dental Admin but dropped out because I realized the program I had picked in haste was NOT one I wanted at all. Me, and teeth? NO THANK YOU. Ya. I regret that one too. Next time I go, it will be for good. I’ve matured a lot in the last few years so no more dicking around!

3. Where have you traveled?
I’ve gone to the states but that’s it so far.

4. If you won the lottery, what would be the first thing you would buy?
The first thing I would do is pay off debt, then put a HUGE chunk away in a high interest savings account. If there was anything left over, I’d buy a house, get a new van and help my loved ones out.

5. What are your 3 biggest pet peeves?
Ahh…my biggest pet peeves? I have so many haha. I’d have to say…1) People saying they’ll do something and not following through 2) People taking FOREVER to follow through on things and 3) People taking advantage of me/the ones I care about.

6. What is your favorite movie?
I love movies! I really couldn’t pick my all time favourite movie. Maybe The Avengers? As for my favourite kids movie, right now I’m loving How To Train Your Dragon. Love the humour, love G.B…ahhh.

7. What is your drink of choice; wine, beer, or liquor. Or Water, Soda, Tea?
I’m a big tea and coffee drinker, but aside from that I mostly drink water. Sometimes Matt spoils me and gets me a Cherry Dr. Pepper though, but it generally takes me a few nights too finish!

8. What is something you enjoy to do when you have me time?
Write. I love writing. Or just sitting on the front porch with a tea/coffee and a good book.

9. If you could have a $10,000 shopping spree to one store, which store would it be?
Probably Sears, because you can get furniture, electronics, clothes and kitchen things all at once 🙂

10. Share with us an embarrassing moment of your past? Or present.
Um…I do so many embarrassing things haha. Alright let’s pick that time I went for an interview at BlockBusters. It was a group interview which made me really nervous, and we were supposed to recite a movie line. I asked if anything went and they said sure, so I said “Get these mother effing snakes off my mother effing plane” — needless to say, I didn’t get the job.

11. What day would you love to relive again?
Meeting Matt, the births of my kids, and our wedding day.

12. If your life was turned into a movie… what actor would play you?
I’d like Emma Stone too because she’s hot haha. {She’s my current girl crush}

13. What are the jobs you had in high school/college/the early years?
I worked at Tim Hortons forever, then at Wendy’s, then at a rec group for the developmentally handicapped, then at a group home, then at a diner. Every year my body gets worse and worse though, so working jobs is getting harder and harder.

14. Show us a picture from high school or college.

High School:

15. If you could travel anywhere in the world, all expenses paid, where would you go?
I’d go everywhere. I’d see everything.

16. Show us the most current picture of you or you, or your family, or anything of meaning to you.

My family. They mean everything to me.

17. Where do you see your life 5 years from now?
Probably in college and doing the whole student/mom thing!

I had a lot of fun participating in this! Great idea Becky!!
