On Sunday, we officially moved into the new house.
It was a long process (or at least, it certainly felt that way to me), but we are settling in wonderfully.
Here’s some pictures of the last few days, since I’m far too exhausted for an overly wordy post:
Like I said, it’s been wonderful. There’s a lot of light in this house, I love how the colours turned out (I’ll do a virtual tour soon). The boys are enjoying their new room and their play room. Archer’s sleep difficulties were not magically solved though – he still gets up once a night, but he did sleep all night the first night!
Nolan is enjoying school…sorta. Morning drop offs are hard and getting harder…he just doesn’t want to part from Archer and I.
This morning was really hard – Nolan threw his first all out crying fit when it was time for him to go in and me to leave. So hard. I sorted out the bus thing and know where his stop is, but I think I’m going to wait until he’s more settled before I try and urge him on a bus? Maybe?
On the plus side…Matt is feeling better! He is back at work as of yesterday and loving it. He’s operating the forklift so he isn’t on his feet as much, but he comes home just as dirty as before. I told him not to get hurt anymore, then he went and crushed his pinky finger. Sigh.
Speaking of pain…my pain is not any better – but that’s no surprise there, I’ve been doing so much lately. Too much. Barely any time for a rest. But that’s ok! Now that the MASSIVE stress of moving is lifted, I’m in better spirits.
Oh…and also, I made this for dinner tonight and it was so delicious. I could eat it all the time! Even the boys ate it with huge smiles on their faces. They didn’t even realize that there was chicken in it. Score! You can find the recipe here.
