Well, I’m here to answer all of those questions and more. Or at least, sort of. I don’t have official dates quite yet, but you’ll get a general idea on what to expect from me over the next little bit, and that’s cool.
I am working on republishing both Collide and Consumed with Booktrope. There will be new covers and other such wonderful things. I’ve seen the cover mock ups for Collide, and I know that you guys are going to love the new look! Both of those books will be available in paperback immediately after their re-release. I don’t have a timeframe for Consumed yet, but Collide will be re-releasing in the spring. They’ll both be keeping their current titles, but they will be releasing under a new series name: The Collide Series.
I’m hard at work writing the third and final novel in The Collide Series. I’ll be posting later this week with a quick synopsis and maybe a little unedited snippet from chapter one.
In the fall of 2015, the first book in a new two part series called The Damaged Series will release. I have blogged about this book, Damaged Goods, a few times before and I am so excited for you guys to read it. I have fallen completely in love with Everly and Grayson (especially Grayson), and I hope you guys will too! Right now, my wonderful editor has it in her hands.
The second book in The Damaged Series, Reckless Abandon, is also completed and awaiting editing and all that lovely stuff that makes books possible. I will release it shortly after Damaged Goods lands. Both books will be available in paperback immediately as well.
I’m not too sure at this particular point if the third Collide Series novel will be published before Reckless Abandon, but they’re both coming and that is so damn exciting to me.
Future projects will consist of:
- Iain’s novel. I’ve always wanted to write a book from Iain’s perspective. This book will highlight the aftermath. Iain’s release, his integration back into society, what he struggles to come to terms with and why he didn’t come back for her right away.
- Jenna’s novel. Jenna Burke is a major part of The Collide Series. She’s Harlow’s best friend; and she’s been through a lot. The Collide books are told from Harlow’s point of view only, so Jenna’s struggles and triumphs don’t really get mentioned to the depth and degree that I want them mentioned. Plus, Jenna needs her own HEA.
- Crimson’s novel. Crimson (from Consumed) is a character that people just love. She’s quirky, animated, and genuinely kind. But she’s got her own bags of heartbreak and challenges. People will undoubtedly have more questions about her after reading the final Collide novel.
- Bumpy Bones. Bumpy Bones is the MHE memoir I started writing in the summer of 2013. I’m still intending on finishing that one and publishing it as well. Samples from the first chapter can be found here and here.
This list of projects doesn’t include three other novel ideas I’ve got written down in my plot notebook, waiting for time to dedicate to bringing them to life. But those stories are all completely new; new characters, new situations, new stories. I think having all these projects on the go is enough for now, so those stories can wait for another day for some spotlight.
So, to answer the questions I’ve been asked…I am working on a lot of things, a lot of new books are coming your way. These things take more time than I would like (I’m just as impatient to get them out there as you are to read them), but I want everything to be perfect and thanks to my fabulous team at Booktrope, it will be.
Now, back to writing I go! Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend! Remember not to piss off your Facebook friends with braggy photo posts. 😉
