One of my author buds told me about this author event local to me. I took a gander at the website and decided I would try to buy tickets, figuring it’d be nice to go to one and see what it’s all about. Then I found out they still had tables, so I filled out the form to have a table. Now I’m going to be attending my first ever author event in June – unless the Google form didn’t actually submit, which has happened before because technology seems to hate me, but I digress.

The main point here is; I [think?] am going to my first author event, and I’m going as an author, and I will have some books to sign and that’s really cool but I’m also scared shitless because I’m going to my first author event, as an author. 

So, yeah.

There’s a lot of feels going on in my head. I’m going to meet a lot of people I’ve been communicating with on Facebook, and I’m going to meet several other people who have probably never heard of me but once they meet me they’ll crave all things Iain, Harlow and Jax. Maybe all at once.

I’m nervous as hell trying to plan for something I’ve never done before. I don’t think I have enough time to get everything I need for it, like a big poster of eye candy for the ladies, but I figured I’d bring Matt and dress him up all nice and he could be my table eye-candy. And, you know, the assistant for a day. I’m sure he’d love to be my book bitch at a signing. Besides, the important things to have on hand are business cards and books, right?

So, if you are local to Toronto and want to attend an author event and have fabulous authors like Cora freakin’ Cormack and K.A. Tucker and so many others sign your books, you should probably grab tickets. Don’t forget to come say hi to me!
