Are you ready for this? This is like speed dating only author-style. Your head will be spinning with details about my life in mere seconds. Ready? And… Go!
Singing or dancing?
Without a doubt, dancing. I love to sing, but ask my family how “amazing” I am at karaoke. Dancing has been a life-long passion of mine that I’ve passed on to my girls.
Sweet or Sassy?
Anyone who knows me knows I’m a sassy pants.
Spicy or Mild?
I love everything spicy—everything.
Chocolate or Vanilla?
Chocolate cake. Vanilla ice cream. 😉
Silver or Gold?
I choose you, yellow gold.
Coffee or tea?
I think I’m actually the only writer who doesn’t drink either of them. The closest thing you’ll ever catch me sipping on is a Mocha Latte in the winter or an iced capp made with chocolate milk when it’s hot. I love my Timmy’s!
Boxers or Briefs?
Boxer briefs. grin emoticon This does remind me of a Speedo—or should I say banana boat?—incident that happened lately. For the record, certain men are more than welcome to wear a Speedo in my book. My hubby is not one of them. Bahahah.
Tattoos or Ink Free?
I am ink-free, but I like a man with tattoos.
Cat or Dog?
I love my two kitties!
Pink or Blue?
Although blue has been my all-time favourite colour, I’ve been having an affair with hot pink.
Edward or Jacob?
Edward, all the way.
Edwin or Cameron?
I can’t choose which team I’m on, it wouldn’t be fair to either of my fictional boyfriends. But for those of you who have read the Twisted Trilogy, tell me more!
Rent or Mortgage?
Collecting rent to pay the mortgages. I’m a landlord, baby. 🙂
Winter or Summer?
I despise shoveling snow. Yes, I know I live in Canada. I would honestly live in summer-time year round, if I were Mother Nature.
Beach or Mountains?
I would visit the beach every day if my hubby let me.
Small Town or Big City?
I’m a small town girl. I’ll skip the hot pavement for a stretch of grass any day.
Flowers or Chocolates?
Ooh, that’s a tough one. Can I choose both? I love getting flowers, but if I had to choose, chocolate covered cherries it would have to be.
Love or money?
That’s a silly question. I’m a romance author! Always love. I don’t care how much money you have, you can’t buy love.
Early Bird or Night Owl?
If I could sleep until noon, I would. I’m a night owl, forced to live within the confines of a 9 to 5 existence to meet my unrealistic expectations.
Paperback or E-reader?
I love my paperbacks, but the convenience of reading on my phone makes it my go-to device.
Whew! That was great!! Do you feel like you know me a little better now? Have any of my answers surprised you?
Now that I have your attention, I’m going to tell you a little about what I’m working on now. J
This book will be quite different from what my readers are used to from me. There will be no guarantee of a Happy Ever After, because PLAYING HOUSE (a Black Widow Novel) is not a romance. There are romantic elements, don’t get me wrong, because it is an erotic thriller, but there will also be violence, suspense, and a host of other trigger situations that might cause you pain and dig up old memories and emotions that are better left in hiding. That’s what the Black Widow does. She hurts people anyway she knows how.
If you’re willing to face your fears and scare off those inner demons, here’s the blurb.
She’s only playing. He’s playing for keeps.
My name is Clarisse Blackwell. With nothing left to lose, I am a dangerous woman. There’s a reason they call me the Black Widow. My boyfriend died trying to kill me and my husband died trying to save my life.
Destroyed by grief and consumed by an urge to bring revenge so passionately, darkness devours my soul. A master of persuasion, I trick and tease, reducing a grown man to trembling knees to make him see what it’s like to be me. He’ll learn the hard way, as you will, that my sweet revenge only feeds the dark thrill of causing others pain.
Lying. Cheating. Stealing. It’s what I do. You think you know me? You don’t, and neither does the man whose life mustn’t be worth living anymore. Our relationship is like an explosion set to detonate on my command. He thinks he knows me. His mistake. He thinks he’s different. He doesn’t believe I’m cursed. I’ll make him believe.
Lives will end, minds will be blown, and one thing is for certain:
the Black Widow will strike again.
