I published my eleventh novel this morning. Coalescence is now LIVE and free in Kindle Unlimited, and I’m currently bouncing between being incredibly nervous about this release (because duh) and being SO DAMN EXCITED I can’t see straight (because also duh).
I’ve grown a lot since I hit publish on my first novel five years ago, but one thing consistently remains the same; the release day jitters and nerves!
I worked hard on this book, harder than the muscles on Alaric’s beautiful abdomen, and now my creation is in readers hands. Some will love it, some won’t–that’s the nature of the game. You can’t please everyone. Books are like food; different taste buds evoke different reactions, and that’s ok. I personally can’t stand BBQ chips, but I’ll inhale a bag of Ketchup chips even though my husband insists they’re practically the same (they are so not).
This book holds a special place in my heart; it’s about a welder and an aspiring writer, but it’s about more than that. It’s about a relationship born from the physical connection two people share.
I’ll be celebrating the release in my readers group, FANnigans today with a couple of my author friends. I hope you’ll join us!
